Eindhoven, March 2, 2009 - Catalis SE, worldwide provider of digital
content for the film, games and telecom industry, hereby announces its
guidance for the fiscal year 2009.
Despite the worsening and uncertain development outlooks for the global
economy, Catalis gives a positive guidance with regard to revenue as well
as performance. Although the underlying markets of the company's operating
businesses also react to the impact of general recessionary effects,
management believes that Catalis is well positioned to take on the
challenges arising from the current situation.
In total Catalis Group expects its 2009 revenue to remain on the strong
level of 2008. With EUR 39.0 million the planned revenue line shows a light
growth rate compared to 2008 with a preliminary revenue line of EUR 38.1
(+2.4%). Due to the absence of extraordinary effects that partly influenced
the year 2008 and a rigid cost cutting program Catalis is planning its 2009
EBIT to come in at EUR 3.1 million (2008: EUR 2.9 Mio.), an increase of
around 7% above 2008.
Both divisions are expected to contribute positively to the overall
performance improvement. While Kuju (games development) is expected to
contribute revenues on 2008 level, management expects to improve Kuju's
EBIT line substantially by a realignment of studios and a focus on cost
structure. Testronic (quality assurance services) is expected to show
revenue growth of around 7% and a performance contribution in line with
last years
EBIT ratio.
